Sociedade de Jogos de Macau S.A., simply known as SJM, is one of only six companies that were given concessions to operate casino games of fortune and other games of chance in casinos by the government of the Macau Special Administrative Region.

SJM is the only casino gaming concessionaire with local roots as it is controlled by known casino mogul Dr. Stanley Ho.

SJM was incorporated as a limited liability company in November 28, 2001 in Macau. In February 2002 the company won a tender to become a concessionaire operating casino gaming. A month later, it signed the concession contract valid until March 2020 with the Macau Government.

Then on April 1, 2002, SJM commenced operations with 11 casinos. Today, newspaper reports say that SJM holds about 30% of Macau's casino gaming market, six percentage points ahead of its nearest competitor.

SJM's gaming facilities are spread in key locations around the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island. Gaming operations include VIP table games, mass market table games and slot machines.
