Station Casinos
Station Casinos owns and operates nearly 20 casinos and hotel casinos across the United States.
Station Casinos properties include a 50% interests in Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa Casino, Barley's Casino & Brewing Company, The Greens Gaming and Dining, and Wildfire Lanes and Casino.
Station Casinos also manages the Thunder Valley Casino in Sacramento, California for the United Auburn Indian Community.
In 2009, after struggling with a heavy debt load, Station Casinos filed for Chapter 11.
According to company statements, Station Casinos have created more than 13,000 jobs, invested billions of dollars in building their properties, and contributed millions of dollars to support charitable organizations in Clark County.
"As has been the case with many other fine companies during these difficult economic times, we have found it necessary to take unprecedented steps to preserve and ultimately strengthen our company," Station Casinos Chief Executive Officer Frank Fertitta III wrote in the company's website.
Fertitta adds "to facilitate the debt restructuring at the parent company level and with the support of our senior secured lenders, our parent company and certain non-casino subsidiaries have filed petitions to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. None of our casinos and resorts were included in these voluntary filings and we will continue normal operations at all of our properties under our existing management team."
